A new lift mechanism that turns a clamshell into a stand-up cabin.
The 23ZERO Kabari Z introduces a Z-lift mechanism unlike any standard clamshell rooftop tent — a multi-hinge, gas-assisted system that opens into a taller, more voluminous shape than typical clamshell tents allow, with genuine 360° views and access from all four sides.
A laser-welded, 2mm aluminum shell with smooth radius corners sits on an aluminum honeycomb base, giving this tent a static load capacity over 1,000 lbs while staying low-profile and aerodynamic when closed. Inside, a self-inflating mattress with adjustable firmness sits on a 10mm insulated underlay, and proprietary light-suppression fabric keeps the cabin cooler and darker for real sleep. Oversized awnings and fine insect mesh keep airflow strong without sacrificing weatherproofing.
Built-in power (USB-A, USB-C, 12V, external Anderson plug) and dimmable LED lighting round out a tent designed as a genuine off-grid sleep system, not just a shell to climb into.
